Infection Control

We at ANANNYA DENTAL CLINIC AND ORTHODONTIC Centre follow total instrument sterilization protocols as those laid out for practicing dentistry in the united kingdom and the united states of America. We use latest and best dental materials available in the market as per date assuring our patients with best, advanced and safest treatment.

Sterilization, Cleanliness and Disposable Materials:

At the beginning of the day the floors are thoroughly scrubbed with scented Phenol which leaves the place clean and smelling fresh.
The chairs and all moving/rotating parts are sprayed with antiseptic solution and wiped clean with a soft cloth.
After every patient the same procedure is followed for the chairs to prevent cross infection.

Instrument sterilisation :

All instruments are thoroughly washed in antiseptic solutions and wiped clean.
They are the packed into sterile pouches and vacuum sealed to prevent contamination.
The instruments are then placed into an autoclave and autoclaved at 121 degrees. At this temperature all known disease causing bacteria are known to be killed. This is the standard autoclaving procedure followed in Operation Theatres worldwide.

Disposable materials

We use a fresh, new pair of gloves for every patient that is disposed off immediately after the treatment is completed.
All gloves are torn as well so there is no question of whether any of them were ever used before.
In addition we use disposable masks, suction tips and plastic glasses.
All local anaesthetic is given from sealed syringes that are opened in front of you and disposed off immediately after treatment.

We Follow Four Tier Sterilization Protocol for Non Disposable Instruments

Tier 1

All The Instruments Are Scrubbed Thoroughly With Spirit Swabs To Remove Any Attached Debris.

Tier 2

The Instruments Are Then Immersed In 5% Korsolex Sterilizing Solution For 50 Min For Standard Disinfection. Korsolex Offers cold sterilisation for heat-sensitive and heat-resistant instruments. It has total Bactericidal, fungicidal and sporicidal activity along with complete virucidal action.

Tier 3

The cold sterile instruments are then packed in individual sterile packs that contain instruments, gauze, cotton balls and suction devices (The standardized sterilization method used in our dental office is: autoclaving (steam under pressure), these measures are carried out rigorously and consistently to demonstrate our commitment to your safety.

Tier 4

Dental instruments in sterilized packages are stored in U.V CHAMBER to maintain the sterilization, which are opened in front of the patient.

Bio-Medical waste disposal

We are affiliated with ‘Indian Medical Association, Vadodara Bio-Medical Waste Management Cell’ for all our biomedical waste, taking care not to cause cross infections and environmental pollution.
